I can't help but wonder if they are holding back on purpose to create a second wave of hype when they switch it on (along with business profiles, etc...)

Same issue for me .I created a gmail account to replace google apps domain name google account. This makes maintaining your Google Profile painful.

I have a plus account... but google defaults to assuming my Google Domains account... which doesn't work with Plus. I have no option of using that account with plus even though it's linked to a google account that CAN access plus. Hence I have to manually switch accounts and can't actually use the share links.

I don't quite understand: you need a Twitter account and Facebook account to use those widgets too?

Same as me. My domain is a Google Apps for Domains account and I can't use G+ with it. Creating unnecessary roadblocks will stunt adoption.

I agree. I have Google apps for two domains and then my personal one. We recently transitioned to the new account infrastructure. How they handle the UX is not working for me. Very difficult to keep signed into the correct account. Have to tie the GA, Voice, Adwords, and other stuff to my personal email so I can keep that open. Never mind that I used to be able to have my email open with the support email for the same domain - can't anymore. Just easier to switch between browsers rather then accounts.

It is frustrating how much stuff breaks just because Google doesn't have Profiles (which no one cares about anyway) working for Google Apps customers yet.

To clarify - I think it's pointless for government to debate funding of something so small in comparison... but if you are going to have the debate there used to be a LOT more reasons to have a public broadcasting system. It used to take a lot more money and manpower to install and operate the equipment required.

People will still do investigating and journalism. Those are the shows that will get the audience and regular positive feedback that leads to more shows.

"If you can stream internet radio coast to coast why do we fund public broadcasting anymore?" You still have to pay for investigating, writing and producing the stories! I don't want stories solely created by Joe Schmoe...I want quality content and I find that in public broadcasting. Public broadcasting availability on the internet rocks, BTW.

But it used to be heavily invested in moving the country forward... with good success. And that's not including anything military/industrial.
