There is something obviuos missing from Feedburner now that they’ve been purchased by Google.  It’s a link splicer for Google Reader. 

I love sharing items in Google Reader and having a link blog, but what I really wanted to do was merge those links into this main blog feed. I attempted blog mirroring with Community Server, but I felt like the shared items overwhelmed the feed.  What I’d like is just one post a day that contains links to each of my shared items. 

If Google wanted to make this integration really killer they would also add an optional "commentary" box to fill out when I share an item. 

Until then I’ll simply put the Reader block on the side of my blog. Feel free to subscribe to my link blog.

Now if Google would add a "share this item" option from the mobile reader.
